Carbonara alla panna

Creamy comfort food that's ready in 15 minutes? Look no further than this recipe from Adam Liaw, shared on The Cook Up. Carbonara alla panna is a rich, speedy Roman pasta dish that traditionally uses cream in the sauce (unlike the classic cream-free carbonara!), along with speck or bacon.

Toast on spaghetti

Spaghetti on toast is a much-loved quick meal, why not try it the other way around? Adam Liaw reinvents this classic Aussie snack with a grown-up twist: this time garlicky spaghetti is topped with a chunky “toast” pan grattato. No tinned spaghetti here, but plenty of nostalgia served with a toasty crunch, and on your plate in 20 minutes.

Gnocchi with creamy pesto

Only 10 minutes to whip up dinner? With fresh greens for crunch, and flavour from pesto and cream, this speedy meal from swimmer Ariarne Titmus will deliver.

Cavatelli with sausage and broad beans

Joining Adam Liaw on the 'My Fastest Pasta' episode of The Cook Up, chef Aaron Ward breaks sausage meats into bite-sized pieces, and cooks them til golden-brown, before using in the sauce alongside broad beans and kale. You can speed things up by using frozen peas, broccoli or asparagus instead of the fresh broad beans, which will see this dish on the table in under half an hour.
