Filipinos in Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne marked Rizal Day 2025 on 30 December, commemorating the 129th anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr Jose Rizal and reaffirming the relevance of his ideals on education, patriotism, and peaceful reform among overseas Filipinos.

• Canberra: The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines to Australia led a flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremony at the Embassy Grounds, headed by the Philippine Ambassador, as the official commemoration for the capital.
• Sydney: A formal Rizal Day commemoration was held at Rizal Park in Rooty Hill, organised by the Knights of Rizal ANZO Region, featuring messages from the Philippine Consulate General and reflections under the theme “Rizal and Resilience.”
• Melbourne: The unveiling of a new Rizal Monument at the Philippine Community Center in Laverton highlighted the day’s observance, described by organisers as a lasting symbol of history, identity, and the Filipino community’s contribution to Victoria.
