Thirteen-year-old singer-songwriter Pixie Minerva may not have taken home first place in her first competition, but the experience opened a far more valuable door. It gave her the opportunity to meet people who believed in her talent, helped her record her first song, and ultimately led to a series of new opportunities in her musical journey.

According to Pixie’s mother, Josephine, it all began when her daughter entered a local songwriting competition in their area on the Central Coast, New South Wales.
"She didn’t win the first place but she won a runner-up prize but has a free recording. That was really lucky and really a good blessing that started it off and she has a song ready and she felt comfortable with that studio and she has worked with an amazing producer".
