Mobile phones emit low-level radio waves so many have wondered, can they cause cancer?

  • There is no link between mobile phone use and brain and head cancers - that's according to a new Australian-led systematic review - commissioned by the World Health Organization.
  • Australian-led research - carried out by a panel of 11 experts from 10 countries looked into more than 5,000 global studies conducted between 1994 and 2022.
  • The researchers say the study provides the strongest evidence to date that radio waves from wireless technologies are not harmful to humans.
