The Nocturnal Ground-Parakeet is one of the rarest birds in the world and was considered extinct for around 100 years. Researchers and game rangers have now discovered a group of 50 of these rare animals in the Western Australian outback. A sensation among animal lovers, reports Barbara Barkhausen.
