Can whale 'Timmy' still be saved?

For weeks, the fate of stranded whale 'Timmy' has kept Germany in suspense. Rescuers are now using dredges and pipes to remove the sand from under the marine mammal. Dr. Olaf Meynecke is a whale expert at the University of Queensland. He advised Timmy's rescue team. Here is his assessment of the prospects for rescuing the animal.
