Saving corals with artificial intelligence

Australian Taryn Foster has spent her whole life exploring the coral reefs in Western Australia. As a result, she has witnessed the damage caused by climate change. With her company Coral Maker, she now wants to take up the fight for corals - with artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics. The technologies are developed by the US software company Autodesk. For the comany works German developer Jan Niestrath. SBS correspondent Barbara Barkhausen spoke to him about the technologies of the future that are giving the Great Barrier Reef hope again.
