New vaccination program adopted to protect against respiratory virus

A new free vaccination program from the Australian government is intended to protect pregnant women and babies from the potentially deadly respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). According to Health Minister Mark Butler, this could reduce more than 90 percent of associated hospital stays.
