Since 2003, Austrian Prof Andreas Obermair serves as a gynaecological oncologist and researcher in Brisbane. He provides a close view on how deadly and common ovarian cancer is. However, new studies show that women who opt to remove their fallopian tubes can reduce their risk of getting ovarian cancer by up to 40 per cent, especially those with a certain genetic history or those seeking permanent contraception.
