GSASA stands for German Speaking Aged Care Services Adelaide. The organization is financed by the Australian government and offers aged care services for the approximately 6000 German speaking seniors in Adelaide. We all know that it becomes really important again to be able to communicate in your mother tongue when we get older, and thats at the heart of GSASA.
They dont only offer lunches and help with all sorts of applications but concentrate on social activities and fun for the elderly. They started in the buildings of the German Club, the SA German Association Inc. but are just this moment moving their headquarters to Croydon. Trudi Latour spoke to the manager of GSASA, Antje Richter about their services.
