Federal government restores pandemic leave payments as COVID cases rise

Following a fast-tracked National Cabinet meeting, the federal government has restored its $750 pandemic payment for casual workers. Coronavirus cases continue to pile up around the country, resulting in the backflip. The $750 payments are for casual workers who are forced into isolation with COVID-19, and are not entitled to paid sick leave.
