The coronavirus unleashes new tensions between China and Australia.


Australia's call for an international probe into the origins of the coronavirus pandemic has drawn sharp criticism from China. In an exclusive interview with the Australian Financial Times, Chinese Ambassador to Australia Cheng Jingye called Morrison's initiative "dangerous", which could trigger a boycott by Chinese consumers in the country.

We talked about the "new tensions" between the two countries with Gabriele Battaglia, correspondent from Beijing.
