Barbara McGilvray Honoured on Australia Day

On Australia Day, the names of Australians who were honoured for special merits and for their work in the community have been released. Barbara McGilvray is one of them and has received a medal of the Order of Australia." For over thirty years she's worked as a translator and interpreter, has translated dozens of books from Italian into English and was a lecturer at the Universities of Sydney, Western Sydney and New South Wales. We asked her first how she got the news, and why she thinks her work has been recognized with such a prestigious award.
