After an approach to the crisis defined as fatalistic and widely criticised, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has admitted that the situation is very serious in the United Kingdom and has announced measures to prevent a further Covid-19 outbreak.


Johnson announced a turnaround from his previous line and recommended stopping all unnecessary travel, working from home "for anyone who can" and limiting social contacts. "From now on you must avoid pubs, theatres, clubs and other meeting places," he said, addressing the country.
