Italian-Australian legend Massimiliano Rosolino says the Aussie swimmer shouldn't have protested against his Chinese rival.

The second Olympic champion ever in the history of Italian swimming, Massimiliano Rosolino won the gold medal in the 200 m individual medley at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He praises both Italy's and Australia's performance at the 2019 FINA World Championships in South Korea.

Yet, interviewed by SBS Italian, Rosolino criticized Mack Horton decision of protesting against Sun Yang, winner at the 400 meter freestyle event. "The are rules to be respected - he says - as well as governing body whose decisions one should accept. I understand why Gabriele Detti (the fellow Italian who came third in the same competition) didn't protest".
