Joe Biden picks Kamala Harris as running mate in US presidential race

United States presidential candidate Joe Biden has made history by picking Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate, making her the first black woman on a major party presidential ticket.


Journalist Giampiero Gramaglia tells SBS Italian what are the political reasons behind Joe Biden's decision to appoint Kamala Harris as running mate ahead of November US elections.

Residents in metropolitan Melbourne are subject to stay-at-home orders and can only leave home for food and essential supplies, work, study, exercise or care responsibilities. People are also advised to wear masks in public.
