Vilma Melchiori's Antarctic Journey

Vilma Melchiori is part of the PNRA (National Program of Research in Antarctica) and has just returned from an experience in the White Continent, where she was responsible for the scientific coordination of the Italian bases.

The difficulties of adaptation, in her opinion, are not so much tied to the rigid temperatures, but to the forced cohabitation of many people inside the base.

Nothing wrong with the local food. Indeed, the problem was to resist the succulent dishes of the two Sicilian chefs working on the base.
