On the occasion of International Mountain Day 2023, Canberra witnessed an honoring ceremony for those who conquered the summit of Mount Everest. The Nepali Embassy, in collaboration with the Australian Himalayan Foundation, organized the event to recognize the achievements of 37 Australian climbers, on Monday, 11 December 2023. SBS Nepali spoke to the embassy's Deputy Chief of Mission, Kul Bahadur Magar, who says such programs help to improve tourism in Nepal.
