In May 2024, photojournalist cum mountaineer Purnima Shrestha created history by becoming the first woman to summit Mount Everest three times in a single season within two weeks. In December 2024, she was featured on CNN's 2024 list of extreme athletes. Shrestha spoke to SBS Nepali about her achievements and the inspiration behind them.
