More than 110 migrant and cultural community organisations are putting their support behind the Yes vote for the Voice referendum, whereas some other migrant and cultural groups are opposing the Voice. Sudarshan Thapa Magar, who is from the indigenous ethnic group of Nepal and is currently the president of the Nepalese Indigenous Nationalities Forum Australia (NINFA), says he understood the profound significance of indigenous peoples only after coming to Australia.
