Melbourne's annual Moomba festival welcomed thousands of visitors on the Yarra river banks during the Labour Day long weekend from Thursday, 7 March to Monday, 11 March 2024. With colorful rides, multinational cuisines and cultural performances, the City of Melbourne celebrated 70 years since the initiation of the festival in 1955. Nepali language speakers shared their Moomba experience with SBS Nepali as some remember the carnivals back home.
