Star Trek's Nichelle Nichols has died at the age of 89 and tributes are flowing in honour of her efforts to counter black stereotypes in entertainment. Her son shared the news of her death online, reflecting on 'a life well lived' and reports that she died of natural causes in New Mexico on Saturday.
