The plan to tackle Australia's drowning crisis

Since the start of the summer season in Australia, more than 40 people have drowned, according to Royal Life Saving Australia. As drowning deaths have continued to rise following the COVID-19 pandemic, the Australian Water Safety Council has released a new Australian Water Safety Strategy 2030. The plan aims to strengthen national efforts to reduce drowning deaths by 50 percent by the end of the next decade.
