With the evolution of technology, new experiments continue to affect our lives. Late last year, the social networking giant Facebook said it would focus on "Metaverse" and even rebranded itself to "Meta". With this, the rise of virtual currencies or cryptocurrencies based on new technology – blockchain - is set to dominate the economy in the coming years. But what is a blockchain? We asked Dr Nir Kshetri, a professor at the Bryan School of Business and Economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
