At just nine years old, Kayleb Alese from Dubbo, New South Wales, is already dancing his way onto some of the country’s biggest stages. The proud Wiradjuri and Nigerian performer has quickly become one of the region’s brightest young talents, blending natural ability with dedication well beyond his years.

Kayleb’s love of movement began early. He was performing in school dance ensembles, impressing teachers and audiences with his confidence and precision.

In 2024, Kayleb began training at Stepping Out Dance Factory in Dubbo, where he expanded his skills in contemporary, jazz, hip hop and ballet. His teachers quickly realised he had something special, and before long he was performing at eisteddfods across the region. His growing reputation led to selection in the Schools Spectacular at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena, where he performed in both the Boys Hip Hop and Primary Jazz Ensembles.

Now, Kayleb has taken another major step forward in his young caree, joining the cast of MJ The Musical as Little Marlon. The role marks his professional theatre debut, placing him among some of Australia’s most talented stage performers.
