Hosted by the Yothu Yindi Foundation, Garma is Australia's largest Indigenous cultural gathering with thousands of visitors gathering at Gulkula, a sacred meeting place of the Gumatj clan, for four days of celebration and important discussions and forums.
The theme for this year is "Law of the land - standing firm" and follows the High Court's decision earlier this year to uphold a ruling in favour of the Gumatj people's native title rights.
There's art, live music, movies and of course the famous sunset Bungul with traditional songs and dance.
NITV News journalist Emma Kellaway takes a look at what Garma is all about.
