Jatinder Pal Singh is an Indian international student who had recently arrived in New Zealand and was reported missing by his friends and family.
SBS Punjabi can confirm now that he has been found safe and is with his friends Preet and Inder. Speaking to SBS Punjabi this evening, Inder has confirmed that Jatinder is with him at the airport and is due to board a flight back to India tonight.
The missing person's report has been withdrawn from the police station and the family of Jatinder has also been informed.
