Victoria Police have identified a man who was struck by a truck in Broadmeadows, in Melbourne’s north, on Tuesday as a Pakistani national.
Emergency services were called to the incident at the intersection of Dimboola Road and Pascoe Vale Road about 6.45am.
The driver of the truck stopped at the scene and rendered assistance.
The pedestrian, who had no form of identification on him, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police had earlier sought public assistance to establish the identity of the man.
He remains in a serious condition.
Police have thanked the public for their assistance.
