A 21-year-old Pakistani national has been charged after Australian Federal Police (AFP) allegedly seized nearly $100,000 in cash from his carry-on luggage at Perth Airport.


The man, identified as ‘Ahmed’, was also allegedly attempting to travel under another person’s name.

As per AFP’s media release, he has been charged with one count of dealing with the proceeds of crime and one count of obtaining an air passenger ticket using false identification information. The accused was granted conditional bail.
