Meet the Australian Punjabis recognised in Australia Day honours

From Dr Ravinder Raj Anand of Western Australia, recognised for his significant contributions to the nation’s mining industry, to Satwant Calais, founder of Sikh Youth Australia in New South Wales, and Dr Kunwarjit Singh Sangla of Queensland, who has spent decades delivering quality healthcare to communities in Australia’s outback, these are among the Australian Punjabis honoured this Australia Day. The Australia Day Honours, which recognise Australians for a lifetime of dedication and service, recognised many individuals from the country’s multicultural communities this year.
