In 2018, Sydney-based Sanpreet Kaur Sunner quit her 9-5 job to embark on her first solo trip across 15 European countries. But for her, travel was never about chasing Instagrammable locations, but was about forming local connections. Since then, she has travelled to more than 50 countries, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, among many others. Often without booked accommodations or a confirmed return flight. For Sanpreet, the solo-travel journey is about challenging her own biases and discovering shared humanity across borders.
