
A professional musician and piano teacher, Yulia Leontyeva started writing aphorisms, short stories and songs in Australia, and has been painting for the past 20 years. You can see Yulia's works on her website.
“My style is an abstraction, but there are many recognisable objects in this abstraction, because I draw inspiration from nature and from my emotional experience. My main characteristic is the emotions that are imprinted in the subconscious, and I found a way to express them.”
One of the artworks that the podcast talks about is Down Under, which reveals important symbols of Australia.

Julia says she feels a kinship with Maurits Cornelis Escher's paintings.
“Someone told me that my paintings are like fractals. All my artworks continue abroad,” Yulia explained.
