Lamositele Tavita Sio played for Manu Samoa against Wales in that memorable Rugby World Cup win in 1991, son Scott Sio has amassed 74 caps for the Wallabies, and daughter Ana Lise Sio played with Manusina in last month's Women's Rugby World Cup in England.

Rugby union has been part of the Sio household before they settled in Sydney.

Dad, Lamositele Tavita Sio played for Canterbury and the New Universities before donning the Manu Samoa jersey for that team that put Samoa firmly on the World Rugby map in the 1991 Rugby World Cup.

Ana Lise Sio tells me that she at one time, wanted to play for the Wallaroos, but when she got the call to play for Manusina in the Oceania championships, she found herself in a team that she is thriving in, and she is proud to play for her family, heritage and follow the large footsteps of her father.

AND after leaving the Australian Wallabies to ply his trade in England, son Scott Sio has announced his availability to finish his international career playing for Manu Samoa.

In the 1991 Rugby World Cup, Lamositele Tavita Sio was one of the props for Manu Samoa, and 36 years later, it has come full circle for the Sio family when Scott Sio runs on as a prop for Manu Samoa in the next Rugby World Cup.
