Mr K. Arkesh, former Inspector General of Police of the Indian state of Karnataka, served for more than three decades in some of the most difficult and challenging regions. He led counter-insurgency operations in the North-Eastern states and in Kashmir and played a key role in the operation to track down the sandalwood smuggler Veerappan. Mr K. Arkesh holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology and a postgraduate degree in Folklore. RaySel spoke with him at the SBS studio during his visit to attend the Fourth International Humanists Conference in Australia.
