Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has dismissed claims that proposed Senate voting reforms will advantage the coalition, saying it is about empowering voters. The federal government has introduced legislation into parliament that would abolish the group-voting process, in the hope of ending so-called back-room preference deals between parties.
