10/05/2022. President Putin has insisted his attack on Ukraine was a pre-emptive strike, claiming with no evidence that Kyiv was planning operations against Russian-occupied parts of the country. He was speaking during a parade commemorating the defeat of Nazi Germany. President Zelenskyy marked the anniversary by comparing Mr Putin's war to that of the Nazis.
