31/05/2022. Fighting in the Ukrainian city of Severodonetsk is "very fierce" and the "situation is very difficult", the regional governor says. Severodonetsk is a key Russian objective as part of its goal of capturing all of the eastern Luhansk region, but Ukrainian forces are mounting stiff resistance. And - EU leaders consider a total ban on Russian oil imports, but Hungary's opposition remains a likely obstacle. Here's your update from the BBC....
