1/06/2022. The latest news from Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has thanked the European Union for banning nearly all oil from Russia. Speaking in a video address, Zelenskyy says that the EU's decision to cut the bulk of Russian oil imports means that Russia will no longer be able to finance terror to the same level. Russian forces control most of Severodonetsk, head of the Luhansk regional military administration Serhiy Hayday said on the evening of May 31.
