Anthony Albanese and Jacinda Ardern have held a joint press conference in Sydney ahead of formal talks this afternoon, outlining a joint commitment to regional security and addressing climate change.
Prime minister Albanese told reporters he was determined to take the relationship between Australia and New Zealand to a "new level", incorporating "transparency" and "respect" in the ways in which they acted together on the global stage.
