Pakistani student among three charged after Perth arrest

A 27-year-old woman, and two men both aged 34-years-old were arrested in Perth's CBD during a police operation. They were later charged with ‘possessing stolen or unlawfully obtained property'.

According to Perth Police, a vehicle stop of a Nissan Qashqai vehicle was conducted on Barrack Street, near Hay Street in the Perth CBD.

Three people were taken into custody and a search was conducted on the vehicle.

Police allege that a certain quantity of cash was seized from the vehicle during the search.

The trio from New South Wales, Sanam Shehzadi, Sarfraz Adil, and Qaiser Rafiq faced the court on Tuesday, according to Perth Now.

The local media outlet further reported that the lawyer for Ms Shehzadi said that she was from Pakistan and in Australia on a student visa.

The next hearing of Ms Shehzadi and Mr Rafiq’s in the court will be on the 12th March, while hearing of Sarfraz Adil will be on the 19th February.
