Dr Abdul Bari Khan, founder of Indus Hospital and Health Network Pakistan, is visiting Australia to explore professional collaboration aimed at expanding free healthcare for the underprivileged. He says the network currently provides free treatment to 50 million people each month through one of Pakistan’s largest private networks of hospitals, blood centres, and rehabilitation facilities.
Dr Abdul Bari, head of one of Pakistan’s largest private health networks, says collective action beyond government support is vital, with overseas Pakistanis key to the mission. Dr Bari is working with Australian-Pakistani doctors to expand free telehealth and medical services in underserved areas.
