Australian Islamic Medical Association (AIMA), in collaboration with the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, launched a nationwide blood donation campaign on Friday, 28 November. Queensland volunteer Dr Asif Shehzad told SBS Urdu that this year, 42 mosques across Australia participated in the national AIMA campaign.
The AIMA campaign aimed to encourage thousands of people to register, pledge, and donate blood, strengthening national efforts to save lives.
Dr. Asif Shehzad stated that the Australian Islamic Medical Association (AIMA) provides a powerful platform to promote health, improve health literacy, and strengthen connections, networking and collaboration among Muslim health professionals to serve Australians.
