Authorities have classified the shooting that occurred on Sunday at Bondi Beach as a terrorist attack. However, some media reports have cited an unnamed senior law enforcement official who identified a suspected attacker, a claim that New South Wales Police have not confirmed.

Pakistani-born Naveed Akram, who was mistakenly identified as one of the attackers in the Bondi Beach assault, expresses his distress over the situation.

He emphasizes that being wrongly identified can put an individual in life-threatening danger.

In the meantime, the incident has sparked global condemnation. Security at Jewish sites has been increased, fears within communities have risen, and leaders are calling for an end to hatred and for solidarity with the Jewish community.
Australia's Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, has praised those who quickly responded to the attack and commended the bravery of a citizen who disarmed one of the attackers.

Australia's Grand Mufti has stated that the Bondi Beach terrorist attack has shaken the nation and has urged Australians to respond with unity rather than division.
