Ammara Raja has won Gold medals in different taekwondo competitions and wants to represent Pakistan and Australian on national level.

Ammara Raja has been training for taekwondo since last two years during which she has participated in and won many competitions.

A student at RMIT, Ms Raja manages her time between studies, an internship, social activities and a demanding workout routine that sees her spending time in the gym as well as on the training mat.

"I train six days a week because I want to be really good at what I do," she tells SBS Urdu.

"In a few years I see myself competing at an international level, I aspire to make it on the Australian National Taekwondo Team. I may even potentially represent Pakistan in the future, in fact I've been thinking about competing at the National taekwondo championship in Pakistan next year, hopefully that'll give me an understanding of where Taekwondo stands in Pakistan and any opportunities that exist."

Ms Raja won a gold medal at the Australian University Games held in Queensland earlier this year and has participated in many competitions including Australian National Championship, Victoria State Championship and Victoria Inter-University Championship.
