Mangoes bacteria discovery hailed by Australian agriculture industry

Bacteria that cause discoloration in mangoes and costs the Northern Territory industry up to ten million dollars each year has been discovered by PhD Candidate Muhammad Umar, of the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture. His project is part of the Australian Research Council (ARC) Training Centre for Innovative Horticultural Products, a collaboration with Woolworths, the University of Tasmania, and Australia-wide industry partners and researchers.
