Muslim Charity organizations drought assistance touched Aussie Farmers

Drought appeal

Several Muslim charity organizations joined hands in assisting drought affecting farmers and the generous move touched the hearts of farmer’s community. Muslim Aid Australia is part of joint venture that has delivered more than 33 tonnes of hay to drought-stricken farmers in western Queensland but says that it wants to raise more money in the coming weeks. “Farmer community was overwhelmed by the support provided by Muslim organizations in remote regions,” Shazil Rehman of Muslim aid Australia told SBS Urdu. “Muslim aid Australia is planning to enhance the program and appealing Australians to donate generously so we can assist drought affected farmers in other regions as it [drought] is not yet over,” Mr Shazil said.
