A growing number of Pakistanis calling Australia home have started playing an active role in community development. They feel it is their responsibility to contribute to the betterment of Australian society and some have chosen politics as a tool to achieve this goal.


Imran Khan and Tauseef Ashraf are just two figures from Pakistani community wanting to play an active role in better of Australian society, using politics as a tool.

In this special segment, SBS Urdu is bringing you all these aspirants from Australia who want to be part of Australian politics and serve not only the Pakistani community but all other communities residing in Australia. They not only want to take ownership of the country they now call home, but also hope to highlight the positive nature of Pakistani community by providing a helping hand to others around him.
In an interview with SBS Urdu, both Mr Khan and Mr Ashraf urged fellow community members to realise their responsibility and contribute significantly to make Australian society more peaceful, multicultural and welcoming.
