The Sydney Marathon 2025, held for the first time in Australia as the seventh Abbott World Marathon Major, saw multiple records broken. Among 36 Pakistani participants, Faisal Shafi set a Guinness World Record by completing the 42.195 km marathon in a light military uniform.

Faisal says the Sydney Marathon is one of his most memorable experiences, with running across the iconic Harbour Bridge and finishing at the Sydney Opera House being truly remarkable.
