12 universities, 84 events: Social Sciences Week is bigger and better this year

Our world needs us more than ever. We are going through tough times due to which we are facing bigger challenges than before. It is important for us to know how we as human beings can face these challenges together to find acceptable solutions to these difficult problems. These are social science questions, and it is only through the social sciences that we can find systematic solutions of these problems by gaining a better understanding of different perspectives and ideas. To find answers to such questions, Social Sciences Week is being held this week from September 5 to 11, in which 12 major universities in Australia are holding 84 informational sessions on various topics on their respective campuses. We are in conversation with the founder of Social Sciences Week in Australia and University of Melbourne's Professor Dan Wideman to discuss the importance of Social Sciences Week and how can we learn from and contribute to these studies.
