Federal government defends its drought-relief measures

Coalition M-Ps have thrown their support behind Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's new drought relief package.


The funding, as part of the new $190 million drought relief measure, will provide up to $12,000 extra for farmers in drought-affected areas. 

Some say the new grants are inadequate.
